  🌐 Multi-Language Support: 日本語 & Deutsch

  We’ve expanded language support! The Pet Pet Generator now speaks two additional languages:

  • 日本語 (Japanese): Full translation of the homepage, about page, legal pages, generator UI, header, and footer
  • Deutsch (German): Same comprehensive translation coverage

  Combined with the existing English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Russian locales, the app now supports 6 languages. The language switcher in the header lets you switch between them instantly.

  🔍 JSON-LD Structured Data

  Added structured data markup across the site for better search engine understanding:

  • Organization schema on all pages (brand name, URL, logo)
  • WebSite schema with search action for site-wide SEO
  • FAQPage schema on the homepage for rich search results
  • AboutPage schema on the about page
  • BlogPosting schema on blog entries

  This helps search engines display rich snippets and improves the site’s visibility in search results.

  🖼️ Generate Favicon Assets & site.webmanifest

  Added a complete set of favicon assets and a site.webmanifest file for better browser and device integration:

  • Generates favicon in multiple sizes (16×16, 32×32, 48×48)
  • Apple touch icons for iOS devices
  • Android Chrome manifest with theme colors
  • Proper manifest.webmanifest with app metadata, icons, and display settings

  📲 Install the APP

  Added a PWA Install Button component that lets users install the Pet Pet Generator as a standalone app on their device. The button appears prominently in the hero section and triggers the browser’s native “Add to Home Screen” prompt, giving users a more app-like experience.

  ✨ New Feature: Output Image Size at Download

  You can now set the Output Image Size (pixel dimensions) in Advanced Options before downloading. The GIF will be rendered at your chosen resolution — from 32px up to 512px.

  • Smaller sizes (32–128px): Faster rendering, smaller file size
  • Larger sizes (256–512px): Higher quality, better for sharing

  🐛 Bug Fix: Advanced Options Now Work Before Image Upload

  Previously, if you adjusted settings in Advanced Options (scale, squish, speed, background color) before uploading an image, those settings would be ignored. The animation would initialize with default values instead.

  What changed: Removed unnecessary guard conditions in the option watchers. Settings are now applied to globalSettings immediately, and take effect as soon as the animation is initialized with your uploaded image.

  Implementation Details

  Both locales follow the same architecture as our existing Chinese support:

  1. Added locale codes to i18n.locales in Astro config
  2. Created translation files in src/locales/{locale}/
  3. Updated language switcher with new language options
  4. Added automatic fallback to English for missing translations
  5. All pages are pre-generated with proper hreflang tags

  Translation Conventions

  • Russian — Preserves brand names and product terms, uses natural Russian phrasing, maintains kawaii/sakura aesthetic
  • Traditional Chinese — Uses proper 繁體字符, adapts phrasing for Traditional Chinese regions, maintains UI consistency

  Added complete bilingual support for the About page:
